I first visited the surgeon, Dr. Kim Maale, on July 21, 2011. I was approved for surgery by my insurance but soon found out that I had a $3,000 deductible, so I decided to wait on the surgery until I had enough money. Then, about a month later, I changed jobs. Luckily, my new job came with a much better insurance plan. I called Dr. Maale's office in the spring of 2012 to start the process for surgery once again. I scheduled the surgery on July 18, 2012. The after photo above was taken on August 8, 2012. Below are the sequence of images from the first day of surgery until the 10th day.
